PERFORMANCE > Prelude to Never Loving Again

Using the vocal score from Wagner's Prelude from the Opera 'Das Rheingold,' this Video Collage weaves together both real and imaginary space, incorporating a narrative and an ironic distance that comments on itself via subtitles in the style of a silent movie. It aims to explore sterotypical themes of ego-love by the creative person, and to ask questions about the effects of what happens when one co-exists with the physical and mental spheres of being "inside" and "outside" of an artist's own work.
